Ron served many years as a reservist at HMCS Chippawa. He was retired from 40 years at MTS Telephone Systems and was keeping himself busy by travelling to and from Vancouver visiting the family. He was used to time on the road, after retiring from MTS, Ron drove vehicles all across the country for Winnipeg Auto Auction. He sure loved to drive. Ron will be missed by all the Royal Canadian Legion on Marion Street in Winnipeg which was one of his favourite hang outs. He was a regular in the crib tournaments at the Legion. Ron wanted no funeral but family and friends to celebrate his life with an OV or an Old Stock beer. Ron and Jean will remain forever togeather as their children place their ashes in Active Pass, off the south eastern point of Vancouver Island. We will miss you dearly Mon and dad. |
